Awesome Opportunities Coming!

Good afternoon! How are you doing? I hope you can truly answer GREAT! I hope you are feeling the freshness of Spring in the air and in your soul. Summer is just around the corner and that means we will all be juggling new schedules with work and children. If you begin to feel disconnected, please, call or email me. Great opportunities are coming that I want you to know about so you can mark your calendars. I guarantee you – you don’t want to miss these!

In September, we will have another Fall Expo featuring our SHE Pods. The date will soon be announced. If you are interested in leading a group this next year please contact me so we can visit. We are open to all kinds of groups. SHePods connect women through common interests and relationships. They are creative social groups that provide women a place to meet other women with the same passions and interests.

October 3-4, 2008 (mark this down) Corpus Christi is hosting the Living the Life Women’s Conference. I am honored I was asked to be part of this planning team. This conference will be at Selena Auditorium (yes, this is going to be huge!). Our guest speaker will be Becky Tirabassi. Unbelievable. Many of you have heard Laura Harris and I speak about the book she has written “Let Prayer Change Your Life”.

This conference will be a life changing event for all who attend. Check out this site for more information. If you have a myspace give us a shout! The official web site will be up and running in May.

If you are interested in advertising your business or ministry through a sponsorship, please contact me. I'd be happy to meet with you and show you all the different opportunities. There are sponsorship packages ranging from $50 to $750. This is an awesome way to advertise and support this ministry. Women's lives will be changed.

NAMI

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) of Corpus Christi provides emotional support and practical advice to families. “Caring and Sharing” sessions and educational meetings serve to support the stability of family life that can be threatened by the severe and major upheavals caused by serious mental illness.

NAMI meets the third Thursday of each month at 6:30pm at Doctors Regional Hospital, 3315 S. Alameda, on the Cafeteria Room. For more information call 855-9869 or email nami.cc@juno.com.

The workbook is $15, arrangements can be made if the cost is a problem.

You gals, ROCK!!! The conference was a huge success and blessing. I hope you are still living in God's peace and presence today. This morning I received this quote and thought of all you who helped make our weekend possible.

CPC volunteers, I would also add thanks for your support in moving couches, moving tables and chairs, unloading boxes, unpacking bags, delivering lunches, decorating stages and tables, welcoming everyone at the door and making others feel at home by the special ways you served.
